Authentic Panna Cotta Recipe 🇮🇹

Panna Cotta is a classic Italian dessert, known for its silky smooth texture and delicate vanilla flavor. This creamy delight is easy to make and pairs perfectly with fresh fruit, caramel, or chocolate sauce.

Ingredients:

✅ 2 cups heavy cream (or a mix of cream and whole milk for a lighter version)
✅ ½ cup sugar (adjust for sweetness)
✅ 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (or 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped)
✅ 2 ½ teaspoons powdered gelatin (or 4 gelatin sheets, softened in cold water)
✅ 3 tablespoons cold water (for blooming gelatin if using powder)
✅ 1 pinch of salt

For Topping (Optional):
✅ Fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries)
✅ Caramel or chocolate sauce
✅ Mint leaves for garnish


Instructions:

Step 1: Bloom the Gelatin

1️⃣ If using powdered gelatin, sprinkle it over cold water in a small bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes until it softens.
2️⃣ If using gelatin sheets, soak them in cold water for about 5 minutes, then squeeze out excess water.

Step 2: Heat the Cream Mixture

3️⃣ In a small saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
4️⃣ Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves. Do not let it boil—just warm it until steaming.

Step 3: Add the Gelatin

5️⃣ Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
6️⃣ Let the mixture cool slightly for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4: Pour & Set

7️⃣ Pour the mixture into ramekins, glasses, or silicone molds.
8️⃣ Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until fully set.


  • Excellent for making a stylishly shaped panna cotta dessert, custards, curd and fruit jelly and similar.
  • Made of excellent resistant plastic.
  • The panna cotta cups are refrigerator and dishwasher safe.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

🌿 To serve, either enjoy in the glass or unmold by dipping the ramekin in warm water for 5 seconds and flipping onto a plate.
🍓 Top with fresh berries, caramel, chocolate sauce, or a drizzle of honey for a perfect finish. Buon appetito! 🇮🇹🍮
